Port of Spain, 19-03-09: W. Connection of Trinidad and Tobago and InterMoengoTapoe of Suriname will both go into their home leg of the CFU Club Champions Cup Round 1 matches confident as they secured wins last night against Centre Bath Estate and CSD Barber respectively.

In the night's first match, the Trinidad team made their mark early in the first half when Hughton Hector scored in the 8th minute. Hector went on to score a hat-trick in his teams' 5 goal routing of newcomers Centre Bath Estate in Bath Estates home field.

In Curacao, the all dutch encounter of CSD Barber and Inter Moengo Tapoe of Suriname proved to be a thrilling rivalry. The teams held each other until the 34th" minute when the hosts slotted the ball home to take the lead. The visitors were not easily deterred however, and only 3 minutes later put themselves back on equal footing. In the 57" the Surinamese team took the lead through Ives Vligter who later doubled his contribution to secure Inter's win and take them into the home match in Suriname with a 2 goal lead on aggregate.
